What is it?

The Vertical Marathon is a stair climb up the 52 floors or 1334 steps of the Jumeirah Emirates Towers (Office Tower).

This charity event would not be possible without our main sponsor Move One Relocations as well as our event support partners - Premier Timing, Puma, Swarovski and Acqua Panna.

This year, all participants will be timed using computerized timing chips by Premier Timing. On the morning of the event, all pre-registered participants will sign in and collect their timing chips between 6:30am and 7:30am at the Godolphin Ballroom at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. There race is scheduled to start at 8am. All participants and their supporters are invited to join us for a complimentary breakfast buffet in the Godolphin ballroom during / after the race. There will also be an awards ceremony to conclude the morning.

Categories for Registration:

Participants can choose to run either individually, or as part of a team.
Individual runners need to register in their respective age category:

• Under 18 Male
• Under 18 Female
• 18+ Male
• 18+ Female

For those wishing to compete as part of a team, a team must have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 members. The team category is not gender or age specific and is open to both male and female participants of all ages. For companies or schools that want to register more than 4 participants, feel free to register as many 3 or 4 member teams as you like. The more teams, the more chances to win!

Entrance fee:

• AED 500: Adult (18 years & Over)
• AED 350: Junior (Under 18yrs)

MSF does not spend any funds to organize the event. The entrance fee and all other sponsorship money is treated as a donation to the charity. All other event related costs are covered by contributions from our generous sponsors. However, MSF is charged 25% of the total proceeds by the UAE Red Crescent Society.

Since this is a charity event, we encourage participants to use the sponsorship form provided and encourage your family and friends to raise extra funds to support your stair climb. Some participants in the past have been extremely successful in doing so and have thus contributed a substantial amount to MSF’s humanitarian missions around the world.
